i thought that tia dalma the voodoo lady brought him back to life, the same way she's gonna do with jack in the third movie. only my impression....

At the very very very end of the first movie, after the credits, his monkey takes a coin from the treasure of Cortess, and he must have givin it to Barboassa so he can have the curse and live.

I imagine Captain Barbossa is still curse. After Will Turner lifted the curse, Captain Barbossa took the treasure again or the monkey help him. We know the monkey is still curse.

yeh i thought the same thing
but in the first one i thought once the curse was broken all the pirates died
but the two dumb pirates of barboassa where in the second one with jack and that damn monkey was alive too..
so did we miss something????

when the curse was lifted the people became...normal. it's not like LotR when the spirits dispelled when they fulfilled their oath.
