E36 was the 3rd generation 3-series (1992 to 1999).
The 5-series could be an E34 (1988 to 1995) or E39 (1995 to 2004)
Its unlikely BMW have the brochure for an obsolete model online.
Try some of the owners clubs (google them).
Wikipedia has some good articles, but they aren't brochures.
