Sounds like you should go to the doctor and get some bloodwork done. I had a similar situation happen to me. I was on Orthtricylcen. When I went off of it, my period didn;t reurn for 7 months. After many tests my doctor determined that I had a "slight case" of Polycystic Ovary Syndrom (PCOS). She determined this by looking at the ratios of the hormones LH and FSH in my blood. I was put on 1500mg of Metformin and within 1 month I began ovulating and menstruating again. 2 months later I was pregnant.
A couple of things I would recommend are getting an over the counter ovulation test kit to see if you are ovulating. Also a GREAT book to read is "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It has a lot of information in it, and can help you figure out if you are ovulating without having to use test kits, which can become expensive.

Sometimes the pill messes with your system. Have you gone to see an obygyn? I know I just got off the pill in early June and it made me have an extremly painful ovulation and since I come from a "fertile" family I was ovulating right away. I went to see an obygyn and she said told me what happened and said that it was normal coming off of birthcontrol. Sometimes it takes a while to get back to your regular system after taking birth control. How long have you taken the pill for? Some birthcontrols are stronger than others, also the depovera (sp?) shot can take up to a year to get back to normal.... so it all depends on what you were taking. Normally the doctor's won't get involved unless you have tried for at least a year. But if you haven't had you're period you need to see a doctor that specializes in women. My regular family doctor treated me for a bladder infection without any examination when infact like I stated above it was my ovulation going a little wrong. It is very possible that you just haven't gone back to normal after the pill but you really need to see what is wrong. When you call the doctor tell a nurse or receptionist what is wrong over the phone. It always gets me in the office quicker and I usually can get an appointment within a few days.
Wish you the best of luck..... : )
(I am trying to have a baby as well)

You really need to see an OB/gyn. It could be something hormonal. I have an elevated prolactin level which was set off by my years of taking the pill and this prevents me from getting my period unless I take a medication to lower it. It will also make it so you cannot get pregnant. If it is something hormonal, there are great medication that can help you ovulate (which you are probably not doing) and hopefully get pregnant-good luck!

I think that one of the problems that you may have is a hormonal imbalance. Sometimes birth control can do this to you. You probably are deficient in progesterone. Make an appointment with your gynecologist. He/she may find that you are deficient in progesterone and prescribe medroxyprogesterone pills. 10 mg once a day for 10 days out of the month. You may have to drink these for a few months or forever. It happened to me. I don't drink these any more so I get my period only every other month.

There are too many factors involving hormone balance to say with so little information. Stress, excessive excercise, illness all can stop a period as well as pregnancy. If you do not know what is going on, get to a doctor with as much information as possible.

Birth control can still stay in your system(I know you said it'd been 7months but I think it can stay active for 12months)
It may be all the stress of trying and hoping for so long too!!!
try and take a break from it if possible
