Hi there!
Just wondering if anybody knows why there are so few good PC games that are released over the summer period. The majority of good games seem to come out over October-November period, is this due to pre-Christmas demand? Of course there are a few exceptions- notably Prey which came out recently- thats cool. Do a lot of PC companies go on hiatus over the summer period?

It's just because there isn't as much demand, due to everyone going out over the summer. The October-November period is due to the Christmas rush, where games are normally bought as presents.

Well they know that more kids will be going out more during the summer and sales will be down. If they get a bunch of great games by winter, all the kids will buy them because they are sitting around on thier butts anyways. Think about it. If they come out with a great $50 game in Aug, no kid will have the $$$, they will have spent it at Six Flags and such.

You should get World of Warcraft. Its a mass multiplayer online game and its practically un-completeable. Its great fun

get guild wars factions! it is the best, addictive game ever!! (play.com sells it the cheapest at£17.99) it is a mass multi-player on-line roleplaying game, which once you have brought the game is free to play, no subscriptions! unlike world of warcraft.
