The Chicken, how could there be an egg without a chicken?
BUT how can there be a chicken, without an egg? Hmm... Very Nice Question you have there. I've always been told that it was the chicken though. I'm going with the chicken, because how would the egg hatch with out the process of whatever the mother chicken had to do to get it hatched (Like sit on it and so on...)

Hope that made some sense.

Hope all is well too!

The egg. The parents were something other than a chicken, the egg was the first mutation from "not a chicken" to "a chicken."

In a remarkable coincidence, in the U.S. at least, eggs come first (breakfast) and chickens come later (lunch or dinner).

Alphabetically, chickens are the clear winner.

The egg , the chicken was hatched form the egg, another species laid the egg and it mutated into the chicken.

This is my theory, millions of years ago a meteor crashed into earth. Contained inside and protected by it were two eggs. They hatched and two chickens were born, who then multiplied and populated the earth.

Oh, but darn, where did those eggs come from.

I've answered this question before : A chicken has sex organs, an egg has not. Therefore, it is obvious it was the chicken.

The chicken. The egg could not have possibly laid itself. Like men and women have to have children, children don't just start out by themselves without being created and then being born.

The rooster, since the egg, which obviously came after the rooster, should be fertilized in order for it to hatch.
