...its about these two forbidden lovers who steal away to a cabin on the river for a secret weekend....they do it anywhere and everywhere....and so far its an awesome story! I keep re-reading the details, its so expertly written =) ...I'm not done with it yet...and I can't even remember the proper name of it...LOL...but so far my most favoritest parts are when they are outside, and so hot for each other, they don't care who can see or hear them. I'm so anxious to read the next chapter, but I can't read it around other people, if I were..I'm afriad I might give away how much I'm enjoying it. Anyway..I don't know if this helps or not, I just wanted to share...

My favoritest all time story is by Diana Gabaldon, she writes novels that put War & Peace to shame, lol...her *Outlander* series is the best....follows two lovers from their early 20's through becoming grandparents, its full of history, both American and English/Scotish....I believe there are 5 books to the series already, and I'm on pins and needles while I wait for the next one...

It's hard to pick favorites.

Since most books on this site are about men, I will talk of women.

I like Rachel's Vacation by Marian Keyes. It's written from the addicts perspective and I think you really get a better view of how a normal person can get caught up in drugs and their drive for it and moves to rid themselves of it--better than Burroughs or Thompson. I did not identify with them, but I could relate to her character and not be a junkie.

I also like the Devil Wears Prada because it is a very comic view of how people miss use power and to succeed many of us just take it. As miserable as it can be, we learn to fit in and lose what we value in the process. Success doesn't exactly mean depth or just deserts. Success in the world can be really shallow. But what I like is the ending, which is maybe idealistic, but in the end the refusual to cowtow to the man (who was a woman) and an outburst actually brought her the kind of success she desired.

Harry Potter, King Fortis the Brave, Eragon, Chronicles of Narnia. They are all great! If I had to pick just one, probably King Fortis the Brave. It had the most believable characters.

The fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. Each book in the series is better than the last.
