"In biology, evolution is the change in the heritable traits of a population over successive generations, as determined by the shifting allele frequencies of genes. Evolution is ultimately the source of the vast diversity of life: all contemporary organisms are related to each other through common descent as products of cumulative evolutionary changes over billions of years. Over time, new species evolve from existing species through speciation, and other species become extinct, resulting in the ever-changing biological world reflected in the fossil record."

BTW a hypothesis is untested. A theory is proven. Like gravity. Gravity is a theory.

It is a theory that has Gone astray. There are those who take old bones that they do not know where they came from, or when they existed in time, and give them a history. In that the history they imagine for the bone(s) cannot be proven, they can say whatever they wish.

If I remember correctly, there was once a "man" formed by those who believe in the THEORY of evolution, and it turned out to be the tooth of an extinct pig. (Science)?

Because of its potential implications for the origins of humankind, evolutionary theory has been at the center of many social and religious controversies since its inception.

#1. Living things (organisms) have physical and behavioral characteristics (adaptations), which help them to survive and reproduce.

#2. Adaptations are passed down from one generation to the next through a hereditary mechanism (DNA, RNA, RNA precursors).

#3. The hereditary mechanisms are imperfect, producing occasional changes (mutations) to the encoding for adaptations.

#4. Mutations are either preserved or eliminated depending on how any changes effect an organisms ability to survive and reproduce.

that all life evolved from a single micro source and then went on to divide and mutate into everything we see today - I personally believe this theory is flawed.

"""Theoretical""" scientists that spend every waking moment trying to disprove that there is no GOD, would love nothing more than for you to "believe",that an entity can wait for a mutation in its DNA that will catapult it to superiority...asuming that it can figure out what to do with the new trait it has developed, and waited for throughout several generations of trial and error. ""Damn, I've killed all the females in my species because "I" thought this new "spear" on my a** was a sex organ, DUH""
