I am over weight and I have a weird shape. I carry more weight in my midsection and I have broad shoulders. I would love some fashion tips on what to wear or not wear. Can anyone provide me with some sound advice. I already know the ultimate answer would be to just lose weight. Thanks for any help.

a jacket over some cool shirt would hide the wide stomack, so wearing a short skirt, a simple shirt and some kind of matching jacket should hide the shoulders and blend it with the body

about wearing jackets that have a boxed shape, they don't flatter at all. Try wearing a jacket with darts in the middle to help accentuate an hourglass shape. Wear a straght legged pant or jean. Avoid those really weird jeans that have the curves already sewn on, they never fit on anyone. Try on skirts that hit you at the knee (if you are petite) or just below the knee (if you are taller). Avoid those box shaped skirts- they ever give you any curves! I always recommend a pointed toe shoe- they help elongate the leg to make you look taller. For shirts and tops, try not to wear spaghetti straps. If you have a larger chest then you can always find a great shirt that gives you great support. If you have a smaller chest, try wearing a v-neckline. For different neck line tips, go to the site i put in the source list. It will give you a greater idea of what you are looker for and what you need. Don't worry about clothing prices. There are some great clothing stores with quality items for a great price like esprit, oldnavy, and gap. My tip is to learn to love the way you look, and try on many, many clothes on. If the clothes fit you right, then you'll always look amazing! Good luck!

Work on your posture first of all. Standing tall and straight can give the allusion of less weight. Also even with more weight in your midsection practice holding your stomach in. This will give the appearace of less weight as well and it will give you the benefit of exercising those muscles. What to wear... I'm not good at that but try not to have shirts untucked. It give the appearance of trying to hide something and looks unkept.

Wear dark colours from head to toe. Avoid wearing one colour on top and another at the bottom -- since you are bigger in the mid-section, it will only draw MORE attention to that area! Because you have broad shoulders, there isn't much you can do about that except for avoid anything with shoulder pads. Also, try to wear straight leg pants -- not tapered. Good luck with your clothing!

Wear darker color for now, black, navy blue, dark green etc. Wear lighter colors on your lower bottom to give an appearance of a more balanced look because of your broad shoulders. Skirts are also great when trying to minimize your figure. Remember dark on the upper part of your body and light colors on the lower part of your body. Good luck.

Wear jeans that fit and give you a nice shape. Many times you see overweight women wearing really tight clothes that aren't flattering. Same thing with tops, now tunics and empire waist tops are in style a lot of girls are wearing them and they flatter a fuller figure. They always have good tips on Glamour magazine for different women's shapes.

Most people would say to wear black, and it does work but you don't wanna dress so "blah" all the time. I would say avoid large prints and anything with horizontal stripes. Do one solid color on top and another on the bottom. Wear the more flashy color on your bottom half to draw attention away from your mid section since that's your problem area. Also, accesories draw your eye to them, so get some cute purses and costume jewelry for people to focus on.

Don't wear large patterns, don't wear horizontal stripes. Go with solid colors; don't wear light pants with dark shirts--this will accentuate the oddness of the shape.

Long skirts or long pants (not capris, shorts or skorts) with solid-color shirts of either the same color as the pants/skirt or of a lighter color.

Black is good for hiding any number of flaws.

you have wide shoulders right, I would advice you to wear a lot of black on you upper erea, black tops, black jumper etc As for the rest try wearing a black skirt with stockings or knee high socks. Just cover up the least attractive shapes on you with a nice peace of clothing, black and expose what you have nice. For example if you have nice legs wear skirts with knee high socks and high hills, and a black top to cover up you wide shoulders and hide your stomach. I hope it all works out!
