my parents always buy me my clothes for back to school and anytime and they buy them at really cheap stores like the bay, sears, walmart. I would really like to buy clothes for this back to school year (grade 7) from abercrombie and fitch, hollister, A&E and all those other better stores. How can i tell my parents this? I dont want them to get mad or anything but i want to get the point out that i really dont like the stores they buy clothes for me at. Plz help!

You are going through a transitional period where you find the clothes that your parents buy are uncool while the stuff you fancy are expensive and overpriced in the eyes of your parents.
My advice is to be patient and estimate the budget your parents set for you. Then slowly push the limits. While I personally don't observe how clothes from "better stores" are of better quality as compared to walmart, it's important to let your parents know that it might be timely to assert your own right in managing an allowance.
Remember, drastic changes do not happen overnight. Prove to your parents you can manage your allowance. And lastly, good luck!

ok no offense to any one below but they all say the same thing pretty much i recently wanted to change my clothing store from place your mom buys clothes to places like pac sun and hot topic
there really isnt exact words u can say to them just tell your mom u would like to try other stores and get a one or two ofits from the "better stores" and if u like them alot then make sure your mom knows that so she knows what u enjoy the most, what makes u the most comfortable also if money is the problem ask your mom if she could buy u somthing that she would be able to afford now and just buy more outfits thur out the school year thats how i got started on my new wardrobe and now its huge whith the clothes i exactly want - also if your mom still buys clothes from cheapper place or tells u no then make sure u go whith u might find somthing at least suitible for u - good luck

Let them know that you don't want to look too different than other guys your age but also remember your parents want you to look decent and not like a troublemaker in school. Teachers treat you better if you look like you came learn not just display clothes/attitude.Since you want clothes that are more expensive, can you offer to help pay for clothes from money you have saved or earned? Can you get by with fewer outfits? See If they are OK with getting you one really cool set of clothes for the first day.

Fashions are something that go in one year and out the other.
But I suppose the only way you'll learn that is on your own. Probably your best bet is to ask your parents to manage the clothing budget for your self. They'll give you a set amount of money to spend on clothes, then when its gone it's gone. Your part of the bargain is to shut up when it's gone.

Unless you can get a job and make quite a bit of money, you'll have to accept that you're parents are on a budget, and at least want to make sure you have clothes. I know, everyone wants to have the cool clothes. You'll have them, when they make you pay for your own...

well you can first ask your parents for the liberty of choosing your own clothes, you can ask them for a budget or something, or you can go to a store with them and choose the clothes and explain to them in a mature manner, on why you chose the peice of clothing.

i would ask if you could have a clothing allowance and try to do your own shopping.. even ask mom if she would go as a help for design and colors but tell her where you want to go. she might not know what you want, you need to let her learn your interest and desires. communication is all about relationships, family or relationships.

TELL THEM IN A KIND WAY. SO THEY RREALLY UNDERSTAND YOU THEY ONLY WANT WHATS BEST FOR YOU. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LISTEN MORE AND UNDERSTAND.
(MAYBE THEY WILL GET YOU CLOTHES WERE YOU WANT THEM TO BYE THEM )
SORRY IF I SPELLED ANY THING WRONG.
REMEMBER BE KIND TO YOUR PARENTS.
THEN THEY MIGHT BYE YOU STUFFWERE YOU WANT.
