I would like to start my own business, not sure what yet. However, I have a great management/sales/customer service background. I would like to start out the business on week-ends and see how the profit and customer base stacks up. What is a good profitable week-end business for a woman with no or low investment and is not a scam? Are there any women out there who started like this and are now booming in profit and customer base?

Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?

By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:

* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll
* I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
* I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen
* The Best Internet Businesses You Can Start by Marian Betancourt
* The Shoestring Entrepreneur's Guide to Internet Start-Ups by Robert Spiegel
* Making a Living Without a Job : Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love by Barbara Winter

I also posted some article links in the source box.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

We have tried many things and have found a company that has been around for 21 Years and pays you to advertise for them. My wife and I just started and are doing well. It is not an MLM company and no selling, no deliveries or stocking product. My wifes aunt has been working with this company for a little over 3 years and home schools 3 kids and makes $9,000 a month. It is a 500 inc company and the CEO is on the U.S. Chamber of commerce board. I can arrange a private web cast with my wifes aunt for you and you can decide by yourself and WE WILL help you be successfull. It is an honest Win Win. Truly Great Company.

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. I have a business opportunity for you, if you are interested. The company has been in fortune 500 and forbes, and so on, so I can tell you it is not a scam. I know people who do this part time and are making a good sum of money, so it is possible. Let me know if you are interested in looking at the company and maybe I can help you.

You should check out Reliv. It is the best product, and the best opportunity out there. It has been listed by Fortune magazine as the 11th fastest growing company, of any type of company there is. It has been featured in Businessweek, Forbes, and this month it is featured in Success from Home magazine. It has 73,000 distributors helping people in 11 countries. It is listed on the Nasdaq under the stock ticker RELV. My wife and I love being Reliv distributors. We have literally had people show up on our doorstep in tears, thanking us profusely for helping them with their health problems. You should check out why we love our business so much. Contact me, and I will tell you more.

Take care and God bless,
Michael
