Both - they both cause the epidermal layer of the skin to dehydrate and it may cause excessive drying. But on the other hand, just wear lots of lotion right after your tanning and every day afterwards. :-)

Ive done both, the tanning bed if you are in too long makes you really RED really not normal looking, and you feel burnt like with a iron, with the sun, you can feel your skin getting warm that is the time to stop. I think the sun is a prettier tan, however the bed gets you all over cuz you can do it in the buff.

I think both are. Especially if you overdo it like some people do.
I know some people that have totally damaged there skin from suntan beds and it makes them look so much older than what they are and the same goes for the tanning long periods of time in the sun.... skin cancer.

Both aren't great on your skin, but I believe that tanning in the sun is more natural than lying under light in a building.

actually both are bad for u but if choosing between two bad things than tanning in the sun is better
