my derby cover is leaking ,going to replace cover & seal

generally it is less than a quart, but check your manual or call your local service department. too much can be as bad as too little.

If you have figured out how to access this Q & A page, then you can do this..go to your address bar and type in harley davidson sportster 2003, it should lead you to anything you need to know, also I don't know much about "Hogs" but if it's anything like a car, you will be able to tell when you put in enough. My guess is 3 quarts, purple 80 weight.
