I haven't gotten my trustees meeting yet but so far it has been a breeze for us. We went to our lawyer paid him his fee, paid the filing fee gave him all of our bills and that was that! Now we're waiting for our meeting but the new laws aren't as strict as you might think and your lawyer should work with you and explain things. The lawyer is working to help you just remember that.

I have a co-worker who has tried to file chapter 7 under the new laws. It varies from state to state. Some states require you to attend a debt management course first before granting the bankruptcy.
