Is the Palestinian problem a result of French cowardice and American apathy in March 1936 when Hitler marched?

The French defeatism was caused by their staggering losses in WWI. The American apathy, or more appropriately their isolationism, delayed their entry into the European war. The sideshow in the middle east was not on everyone's mind, rather the enslavement by the Nazis was on central stage. The mistake made by the allies came after the war by allowing (via UN charter) the displaced European Jews to move to a homeland currently occupied by Muslims.

While it would be nice to give them lands that their 'distant' ancestors had, how could you do it without creating a 'Palestinian problem" as you state? To trace the problem to one event, is a simple minded analysis of a very complicated situation. It would've been better to have bought the Jews some land in Montana, and let it go at that.

I think the current situation in that part of the world is more directly linked to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire at the conclusion of the First World War. That is what created the formal British Protectorate in Palestine and much as I would be willing to lay almost any evil at the feet of the Nazis the problems in the Mideast have roots that go back further than 1936. Only when the iron hand of the Turks was removed from the region by their defeat and disintegration during WW1 were rising nationalistic movements given a chance to succeed. Those movements, and their inability to coexist with one another are what we are still dealing with today. I would say that the desire for independence had always been present but had no chance of actual creation of individual states while the Ottoman Empire existed.

Current Palestinian problem is due to corruption of their religous book (Koran). The book preaches hate and killing. There is no mention of love in it. The prophet Mohammed married a 6 year old girl when he was 54 and consummated the marriage when she was 9. They want to drive the Jews from their state because they are jealous. The Israelites built their country up but, the Palestinians destroyed the greenhouses and the rest of the country.

Hitler tried to get the other Arab countries to bully poor Israel.

P.S. Never has there been a country called Palestine.

I would say yes to the second half of the your question. In fact the world just sat by as Hitler became a powerful leader. I guess the world leaders at that time didn't want to do any thing really to stop Hitler, the world had all ready been involved in a war that lasted four years and the world leaders didn't want to see another one happen. So when Hitler became more land hungry to expand his empire the leaders of the world were prepared to crave up countries and hand countries over to him hoping that by doing this he would be happy. But like a kid in a candy store, Hitler wanted more and in 1939 he invaded Poland and that was really the last straw, France and England with England Commonwealth Countries on board decided to declare war on Germany. So really had the Major World leaders really took notice and tried to stop Hitler in 1938 when he annex Austria, tore up Czechoslovakia The holocaust wouldn't have happen and Israel wouldn't have been reborn as a country.

I lived in What you Call "Doesn't Exist" PALESTINE for years- and the Israeli's made curfews on us whenever they pleased - Palestine is for Palestinians not for Israeli's. Israeli's don't want to make peace, they don't want to share anything - I hate how they're leaders come on CNN and talk CRAP AND LIES.
