while the expansion of the Third Reich could have been stopped at that point,I think the rise of the Totalitarians was still inevitable.Stalin was still on the rise,Mussolini was still on the rise,The militarists in Japan would still have been a factor in the east,and Germany would still chafe under the versaille treaty.The hate of the other,the prejudice against Jews,Gypsies,and foreign citizens of all sorts,would still have been present.The Zionist Movement was already occuring earlier than that,and was probably inevitable,WWII or no.

I think you overstate the importance of the event and it is clearly neither the best nor the worst thing for the human race.
