use lemon juice and apply it on the scalp for half an hour before bathing.
else combination of lemon juice with mustued oil/curd is also effective.
If you can try amla along with lemon it would be fantastic.
and do take care of your diet also.

The answer by aj steele was perfect. Dandruff, contrary to popular belief, is not just dead skin cells that need to be removed. Dandruff is caused by a fungus, which, interestingly, is actually attracted to CLEAN hair and scalps -- so don't let anyone make you feel like you're dirty because you have dandruff. You should know that most dandruff shampoos that you buy at the supermarket do not have enough antifungal properties to be really effective. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a visit to a dermatologist and prescription-strength antifungal shampoo, you should try tea tree oil (you can get this at almost any drugstore). It really does work, but you have to be diligent because it does take a little while.

You need to try non medicated organically based shampoos. Many of the medicated ones end up perpetuating the problem believe it or not. Tea tree oil rubbed into the scalp works over time. You can also purchase it in a shampoo form. Dont buy it in a supermarket, thats all chemical crap. Go to a quality health food store. Remember doing it naturally will take a few weeks but it stops the CAUSE of the problem and doesnt just cover it up.

What do you mean "without shampoos"? You do wash your hair regularly don't you? If it is just dandruff, it is just dead skin cells which you need to wash out. Have you tried Neutragena T-gel or Polytar Shampoo? DHS Tar Shampoo is good, also. It is hypoallergenic. You should use these twice a week. I had seborrhea b-a-d some years ago. Dermatologist told me to use Polytar Shampoo and rinse with Ionil. Used it every day for 3 weeks and it cleared. Now I use them twice a week to keep a lid on it. Good luck.
