While the previous posters are correct, I'd have to ask why you are doing this? If you are wanting to use a company laptop at home, there is no need to do this. Just log in as you ordinarily do at work; the domain credentials are cached on the machine and you will be able to log in as if you were on the network.

Once you have removed your machine from a domain to a workgroup, you can't add it back to the domain until its old machine account has been removed from the domain. Also, once it's been deleted from the domain, all of the associated security settings will be lost. It's likely that you old profile will be lost (contents of My Documents, Favorites, etc.) and will require a network admin to sort it out. Not a great way to endear yourself to your admin staff!

Assuming were talking about a laptop you move around, the quickest answer is to setup you home network to the same workgroup name your company uses

you need to be a local administrator to do this,

Right click on My Computer --> click Properties-->Computer Name-->Click on Change--->Select Workgroup

Once restarted you are good to go, but then again when you connect to the company domain you will have to go through same procedure( but have to be a Domain Admin to add to domain).

If you cant click on Change above then you might not be able to do the above(NO local Admin rights)

Hope this helps
