I think joining Newcastle is a big mistake, but Liverpool have shown with Owen and now Duff that they're willing to miss out on a player if the price isn't right. Whether that's sensible, we'll see...

It's hard to say if it's the biggest mistake. He was given the opportunity in a late bid by Liverpool. Other than Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle are racing for his signature too. I read that Duff claimed that the newcastle fans, the city and the club itself that attracted him to sign for Newcastle. How true this is I never know. But one thing that is certain is that Duff is almost guaranteed a first team place in Newcastle.

Duff is one of the luckiest players in English Football.
He cannot play, and yet has still managed to get major teams to pay funny money for him.
Newcastle only buy in the used / bargain basement which just about sums up Duff.
He is not in the same class as most Premier League players hence why Chelsea are laughing all the way to the bank hand in hand with Duff.

It's hard to say. Just look at Alan Shearer. He also gave up the chance to join Manchester United in the past but in the end, he became a legend at Newcastle.

It also jogged my memory somewhat Julius Caeser, who wrote about his battles.. we had to study his proza in severe college. Do make a sequal, reason I wanna discover out what is going to ensue next to boot :)

This is about money.
Newcastle made a better offer and that's y he's joining them.
I would have prefered he joined Liverpool though.

Sooner or later, enough good players will join Newcastle and everyone will stop asking that question. My guess would be around 2015, lol.
