Every school is different In what they teach. The person who told you to get a syllibus had the best idea. When I was in High school we had to take Health and sex edd was included in that. They did tell us all about desises you can get and they showed us pictures of infected areas of people's bodies. It wasn't that bad or anything, I'm sure you will get through it just fine. Actaully the pictures were in the text book.

Here is what you might see.

Basically the class is designed to give you enough information so that you can make an informed decision about sex. However, different school systems teach it differently. Some just teach about the benefits of abstience while others teach about protection and how to use it if that's what you want to do. The best way to know what your school offers is to ask for an overview or syllabus of the class.

it's human stuff

get ready for some technical vocabulary

I took some "sex ed" in graduate school. the professor had us looking up tons of published research, and doing research projects.

hopefully, your teacher will open your awareness of the world of research and trustworthy scholarly reading.

Don't be surprised if the class isn't all about what people do "in bed." You might even cover matters like

abortion matters
rape matter
sex during old age
sex and morality
sex and religion
pregnancy preventions
std's
adolescence
teen issues
etc
