After he resigned from NASA in 1971, he became professor at the University of Cincinnati for nearly a decade. But where is he now? Why is he a forgotten figure now?

I do not no about forgotten, he will always be remembered. However, he is living in Ohio on his ranch/farm with his new wife and he is currently retired, however in a recent interview, he would not rule out if he got the opportunity to go back to the moon. Have a great day.
