Evolution, its clear from the scientific record

2006-07-22 02:29:23 · answer #1 · answered by jxt299 7 · 1 0

Creation of course. Evolution is another worship of man that rules out God.. Its just a lame excuse.
The bible notes dinosaurs several times as "beasts."
There is a large obvious result of a great flood (which evolutionists are still trying to disproove--thats all they know how to do & they can't really change things or do something really great.)
Evolutionism undermines the complexity of our earth and the complexity of an atom.
Evolution can not explain emotions.
Try putting 2 substances in a blender and see what you come up with after a few million years of blending.
It can not explain the world's conditions---Matthew 24 can though.
But, oh well, whatever you choose to believe. The list goes on, but there is no convincing some.

Evolutionary Creationism. As a biologist I believe in evolution but I am also a devoted Christian. Evolution is a proved scientific fact animals have evolved over time the only hang up between the two ideas is what started it?

Of course evolution. In the Bible, it said that God created the earth in six days. Well, if he created the world in six days, you would be finding cat skeletons along with dinosaur skeletons. Also, Eve was made from one of Adam's ribs; well that isn't possible because the x and y chromosones wouldn't match. The Bible wasn't written during the times of God and Jesus. These stories have been passed down for many generations, which may have led to misinterpretations. People at the time may have forgotten parts or changed the story completely. I think that most of the stories in the Bible are just a bunch of fables. They are supposed to teach something, but not all of the things in the Bible should be taken literally.

I also have this question: If some of yall say that evolution is wrong, then why did Pope Benedict say that he approves of evolution?

Evolution.

God created the universe, life, and evolution. Evolution is just a way of scientifically expaining why life on Earth has developed the way it has. Its very hard to deny all the scientific proof for evolution, but at the same time, its hard to believe the world just spontaneously appeared without some higher being playing a part.

I guess I will have to go for Creationism.

There is no basis to support Evolutionism other than what Charles Darwin brought up with his theory on natural selection.

Although scientist have tried to prove the existance of life from the time of the primodial soup (the state of the earth at birth) such as the Miller-Urey experiment, which seeks to explain the formation of amino acids from non living organic compunds. The Miller-Urey experiment was conducted by Thomas Miller who created an experiment to simulate the world in the the primodial state. he made use of a spark plug to simulate the action of lightning needed to start the reaction (energy is required in all reactions even biological ones in the form of ATP). Even though he was able to obtain amino acids from non living organic compounds (e.g. Carbon, Nirtrogen), these amino acids were not able to support life. Out of the 300 different amino acids, only 20 of them in the world we live in can support mammalian life.

One who believes in Christianity ought not to believe in the evolution theory. As human understanding is limited and in science we base our theories on those that were set before ours. To say that you believe in both (theistic evolutionist) is very contradictary, since Gods creation is not perfect and needs to undergo many change (natural selection).

Also, don't try to relate all this evolution to a cellular level and talk about mutations. Because at a multi cellular level, things don't work the same way, which is why scientist are careful when they choose a model organism (e.g. drosophilia fruit fly) to study.

Neither. Evolution has huge holes in the theory, scientists can't fill. Creation in the Chrisitian explanation leaves out the dinosaurs.

PS: A great deal of the fossil record does not correspond with Darwinism.

Creation, and not just because I am a Bible-believing Christian. If you look at the two scientifically, it takes more blind faith to believe in evolution then in creation.

Creation. Evolution is the result of the flexibility of the design and the sheer genius and thoughtfulness that the creator put into its creation.

You can only believe in Creation, because there is good scientific evidence for evolution, so you don't need faith to "believe" in it.
