No really. The best way? Figure out what you're good at and if it fits in with anything you WANT to do.
Then once you know what you want to do, get the education/training to do it. There's no better time to get an education like the present.

Is it your profession that is dead end, or the job you have? If it's your profession, then re-train for something else you are interested in and then pursue a new job. If it's just you current job, get on the Internet and look for other opportunities. Once you've found a better job, put in your notice and move on.

Is it really a dead end job or have you let it become one?Have you explored other avenues you can take and keep your job.Most companies like to promote from within,with people they know and have an established history with them.Check it out,talk to supervisors or company bulliten board for other openings.Assert yourself.Maybe your the dead end!!!!!
