visit www.dnsstuff.com & use "WHOIS" tools to get details.
You also may use any other WHOIS tools.

You can locate IP information by doing a whois query on the IP address. Here are 2 useful sites:
http://www.nic.com <= Select Whois
http://www.dnsstuff.com <= Select Whois

These results will tell you the ISP who owns the IP address and IP range. It will not tell you the location of the ISPs customer who uses the IP address. The ISP will also not tell you this if you contact them as it would be a breach of most civil rights laws.

The previous answers show how to obtain your public IP address, or the IP adress of your router which is connected to the internet. To find the IP address of your computer within your own LAN (Assuming here you're using windows XP) Click on the Start button, click Run... and then select Run...
Type in cmd. This will open a black window called command prompt, or DOS. You'll see a prompt such as this...
C:\
At this point type in.... ipconfig /all
This will display lots of numbers and other information. Including your IP address. Hope this helps...
