Sadly Cyndi Joe Strummner is now dead, However check out Mick Rock on the internet for some great pics of all of them ! and the Who as well.

Difficult choice, but probably The Who. But The Clash would win hands down on attitude.

Here goes: -

The Who:-

2. Substitute
3. My Generation
4. Pinball Wizard
5. Won't Get Fooled Again
6. Who Are You?
7. The Seeker
8. Happy Jack
9. Boris The Spider
10. Baba O'Riley

The Clash:-

1. London Calling
2. I Fought The Law
3. Rock The Casbah
4. Clash City Rockers
5. White Riot
6. (White man) In Hammersmith Palais
7. Train In Vain
8. Rudie Can't Fail
9. The Guns Of Brixton
10. I'm So Bored With The USA

Most people will chose the who because of their comercial sucess and number of top rated hits. To pit the Who and the clash together in a choice compitition is somewhat of a mistake because they are so different. Awiser choice may be Who vs. The who is a Great rock & roll band that will never be forgotten. As a matter of fact they are in the process of begining an americn tour that I will certainly attend. Now the clash are a Punk bank responsiable for bringing Punk, mainstream. Sure you have the sex pistols and a plethora of Punk sensations comparable to the clash but none that have or carry the resolve of the Clash. except for possiably the Ramones.. All in all, my choice would be the Who only because I am not a staunch punk fan..

This is a difficult one. Its a close call but I have to say The Clash.
Clash songs: White Riot, I'm so Bored with The USA, London Calling, The Guns of Brixton, Ivan Meets G.I. Joe, The Call Up, Charlie Don't Surf, I Fought the Law.

The Who songs: I Can't Explain, My Generation, The Kids are Alright, Under My Thumb, Pinball Wizard, See Me, Feel Me, Won't Get Fooled Again, Who Are You, I Can See For Miles, The Last Time.

These are my two favourite bands so it really is difficult having to choose. Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane!

For me it's gotta be The Who

Love Reign O'er Me, The Punk & The Godfather, Bell Boy, The Sea and The Sand, Cut My Hair, Dr. Jimmy, 5:15
Won't Get Fooled Again, My Generation, Boris The Spider, Pinball Wizzard, Pictures Of Lily, I'm A Boy.......

Although the Clash aren't without merit

'London Calling' still sends shivers down my spine!
... and it always amused me that 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' was backed with 'Straight To Hell'. ;-)
