We abhor terrorism -- unless we're the ones doing the terrorizing.

We paid and trained and armed a group of terrorists in Nicaragua in the 1980s who killed over 30,000 civilians. That was OUR work. You and me. Thirty thousand murdered civilians and who the hell even remembers!

We fund a lot of oppressive regimes that have killed a lot of innocent people, and we never let the human suffering THAT causes to interrupt our day one single bit.

We have orphaned so many children, tens of thousands around the world, with our taxpayer-funded terrorism (in Chile, in Vietnam, in Gaza, in Salvador) that I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised when those orphans grow up and are a little whacked in the head from the horror we have helped cause.

The purpose of history is to learn from it, not to live in it, all countries of the world includeing the ever so popular Germany, have comitied atrocities in the past, but lets look at whats going on right now, Germany is peacefull, has been ever since the end of WW II, they learned their lesson, unfortunately most americans believe that everything we do is in the name of Liberty and freedom and there for right or good, reguardless of means or end result. I challenge you all to look for the bad, not the good, out government and the media will throw that in our faces all day long, the wrong doing are those that one must seek...

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. ~ President Abraham Lincoln

No. America is a great country. The problem is we get short-sighted politicians with their own agendas.

They'll make deals with dictators to take care of a problem today, but not think abou the consequences of what happens later on.

(Case in point Saddam Hussein. He was our ally under the Reagan/Bush I era. He became a convenient enemy when Bush I needed a boost to his low popularity.

We sold him chemical and biological weapons primarily so he could use them against Iran, and so that we could gain an ally against the Soviet Union. )

So, it's not the people it's the politicians that can enact disastrous results. Usually, we can weed this out through the electoral process, but that has become so screwed up (thanks to the GOP and the right wing echo chamber) I'm not sure our system of government can right itself anytime soon.

We can't give up though. The price is too high if we do.

Get involved. Get informed. Get active.

It's our government. It's our right to assert ourselves. It's our duty to protect our freedom and liberties from corrupt politicians.

It's good to see that most of the replies are of the correct perspective.
It's LDF's (Liberal Dog Fu%$@r's) like this that think the world is like Mr.Rogers Neighborhood.

We need to only look at History in order to find what works and what doesn't.

Rome fell not from the outside in but from inside out.

So in that perspective it's the Illegal immigrants, LDF's, the "PC" entrenched govt and other poor internal policy's that are the Cancer to our nation.

Reread history. Look at what OTHER countries have done and then get back to us about The United States of America. We are a peaceful bunch compared to Italy, Germany, England........

There is a cancer in our country, but has nothing to do with what you mention. The cancer we are dealing with is called Liberalism. It has stripped morality from our people, destroyed families, murdered thousands of unborn children, and has deemed the populous unresponsible for their actions.

If you think that the level of freedom you enjoy comes from being nice, you are out of your mind. The concept of individual freedom is rather new considering the history of the world, Those who do not enjoy as much freedom as we do are very envious. They will do whatever they can to bring us down to their level. We need to do everything to keep the battles out of our nation so that you can sleep at night.

It is, and by being so US proves Karl Marx right when he wrote in his "Communist Manifesto" that one of the most remarkable traits of capitalism is the ability to reinvent itself even if it gets to extreme of profoundly contradicting itself. Marx should be a liitle bit more respected around your villages, buddy.

The only cancer in America is the dumbocrats. I thought I told you that in my last answer. Save up your county benefit checks and buy yourself a clue, because right now, you don't have one.

Is your brain a cancer to you??? That is your INTERPRETATION of history. Many (I'm sure most) don't share your spin on history.
