I can't remember what I liked best when I was young. But I can tell you right now that my favorite game is Mahjiang. Not the Mahjong that you play on the computer... although at least they got the tiles right. This is the REAL Mahjiang, played all over Asia! And here in Taiwan, it is probably played by almost every family... I think I have found two exceptions. It is a fascinating part of the Chinese culture!
But that aside, I have usually been a fan of board games where you have to sit down with your friends and accomplish goals. Some of my favourtes are/were Monopoly (of course -- though I was never agressive enough to win), Life, Payday, and an old board game that my parents had (among a collection) and that we have never seen anywhere else... I think it was called Careers. The best part... and something you do not get even when playing multi-player online games, is the comraderie and affectionate competition of your mates... and the good-natured ribbing that always took place when we played.
Now, my favorite game to play with my family was a card game called Spite & Malice. We used to add all our "lame" decks (with missing cards) together for this one. Although we have been playing it since probably 1989, there was a card game that came out (boxed set with special cards) that mirrored the same game... but I cannot remember the name of it. Anyhow, for great one-on-one fun, that could last a whole rainy day, this was the best.

Great question. I would have to say it was my GI Joe Headquarters playset. Loved setting that thing and playing against my buddies that would be on the Cobra side of the action. They never could get by my defenses.

Ohh !
I was obsessed with Power Rangers (the first series), I really loved it and watched it whenever I could.
I had so many action figures of them.
Especially the Green Ranger, I dressed up as him in Halloween.
Thanks for bringing me back good memories.
