Is it possible that President GW Bush is actually a good person? I admit, I voted for him. I have since lost all respect for him and blame him for 9/11, in full. However, I have MANY family and friends who fully support him. I cannot discount this fact because I know these are good and intelligent people. So I ponder, almost constantly, the question of "How or why can my family and friends support GW Bush?" Last night I came up with the following possibility.
Did Pres. Bush HAVE to SHOCK the country into a transformative state in order to raise the level of consciousness of the mass population of this nation and possibly, the world?
What that means to me is that since 9/11, I have done a LOT MORE thinking about how better to prepare my children for the future. Before 9/11, I was not concerned for their safety. Now, realizing that our own government will MURDER anyone in their path to attain a goal, be it oil profit, or just moving to a One Government World, I find myself ....

... seriously concerned for my children's futures. ie, I do not want them to be SLAVES, anymore than we are now or that they will be regardless.
In reality, we are all slaves and we own NOTHING. For example, if we do not pay TAXES on our property, the government takes it from us and auctions it off. , but I digress.
The point is, did GW Bush HAVE to shock the country/world in order to advance humanity to a higher level of understanding and appreciation for our accomplishments so far? Did something like this HAVE to happen and GW Bush was the only one with the balls to bite the bullet and do it?

There have been several answers so far, all reasonable in a manner of speaking, but the question is NOT if he's a good person, but if he HAD to do 9/11 in order to shock the world into a new level of awareness? Did SOMEONE have to do what GWB did on 9/11? And HE DID 9/11. If you cannot see that, you are wearing blinders.

The last answer, at this point, told me to worry about things I can do something about. Hey, NEWS FLASH, we can ALL do something about TYRANNY. And we all need to consider that fact and, at the very least, VOTE THIRD PARTY from now on, for EVERYTHING.

I'm sure you have plenty of remorse for having voted him but you must realize he fooled a lot of people.
He goes on with that patriotism talk and everybody goes after him because everybody loves their country!
He's meddling with other countries when he has major issues to deal with back in the US to divert attentions.
He has gotten away with US' problems being un-dealt with.
He really is a smart guy, he probably thinks he's a good person but he's only looking out for himself and his interests.
I also believe the 9/11 is his fault because he was warned about possible attacks and didn't warned the people.
And it will not end because Bush remains in office.

I've got to say it's a little odd that bin Laden's daughter and some other relatives were given a trip back to the Middle East shortly after 9/11 by our government. I don't know what's going on for sure and I think right now that we're all questioning what exactly is going on. Do I believe it's over oil? It looks possible. I mean, Cheney, Bush, both oil men with the best way imaginable to jack up oil prices. hmmm..... I think there is definantly a cover up somewhere, but I'm not sure what it involves. I'm concerned about my children's future as well. None of us know what is coming. There is definantly something wrong though when the rest of the world is so angry at America. It makes me want to scream to the rest of the world to not categorize all Americans as the bad guy. Our government really has taken over a lot of our freedoms and I'm sure they do things without our knowledge. The thing of it is, nobody really knows where we're going, but I don't see anyway to change things. Remember how our Constitution gave us the right to over throw our government if we as a people believed it was wrong, well that is now considered tyranny thanks to the Patriot Act and other recent laws. Where will we go? Don't feel guilty about voting for Bush either, the voters didn't put him in, he lost....both times. Doesn't that seem odd? Both times he won in Florida due to "voting errors", the state is brother is governor of. Did no one catch that? Just a thought.

Are you for real? Okay, so your family members still approve of Bush, and you are looking for a reason to believe as well, right? Do you go along with spying on US citizens (without a set of checks & balances)? Do you believe we went to war under false pretenses? I can not believe that anyone still trusts Bush's type of administration. Even his own Conservative party, does not trust him to make good decisions. And you are looking for a way to continue to vote Republican? Then you probably will, no matter what anyone else says to try & convince you otherwise. So you actually humble your own intelligence (cherry pick) the information to help you continue to perpetuate the problem by continuing to vote Republican, even though you don't trust the GOP policies & goals. There are plenty of Republicans that have switched over to the Democratic side, so whether you go with your heart and switch sides, or not, there will be a cross over vote to override your vote. Continue to vote Republican, & your children will never be safe from the terrorism that this administration has created. You are right to be worried, for the sake of your children. Will you continue to perpetuate the problem & cherry-pick your way to the polls or cross over? The choice is yours. The fear is that we will live with the problems that Bush has created for us overseas, forever. And if you voted for Bush in the last two elections, shame on you. Now you know....my point of view. What say you now?

I voted for Bush. He is not responsible for 9/11, bin Laden is. Our society had been so open because we are so free. Yes, Bush had to shock the country, much the same as happened right after Pear Harbor. Until Pearl Harbor, Americans were very content to watch the war in Europe without any thoughts of being involved. It took a direct attack to evoke any interest by America. The same thing has happened with the al Queda attacks on our soil. But even after kill several thousand Americans, we really don't want to get involved in another war. The big problem is that we cannot declare a real war upon another nation because our enemy is not a nation, rather a fanatical faction using religious extremism as their focus. In their mind, they have declared war on everyone living in America, even fellow muslims. I have a serious problem with President Bush. His leadership has become eroded by his religious focus. He stated "I have been chosen by God to lead this nation." He is using all the Christian propaganda to shape his political policy. This is totally wrong, it is unAmerican, and a violation of the Constitutional separation of church and state. I will never vote for any candidate for any office who places any religious philosophy ahead of the needs of the township, county, state, or nation. Religion has no place in American politics. Doing this is just as wrong as bin Laden.

No he didn't have to 'bite the bullet'. We have always had terrorism in its many forms but not on this latest HUGE scale.
I have some quotes that may get you thinking and also set you on a path to gain more knowledge.
"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." -- David Rockefeller
"A society whose citizens refuse to see and investigate the facts, who refuse to believe that their government and their media will routinely lie to them and fabricate a reality contrary to verifiable facts, is a society that chooses and deserves the Police State Dictatorship it's going to get." -- Goddard
"There ought to be limits to freedom." -- G.W. Bush
"The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor" (2000) -- Project for a New American Century
"Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death." -- Adolph Hitler
"Fascism, the more it considers and observes the future and the development of humanity quite apart from political considerations of the moment, believes neither in the possibility nor the utility of perpetual peace. War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the people who have the courage to meet it." -- Benito Mussolini
“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things. “
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. “
“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
“All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.”
"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." -- Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)

People that supported Bush, and continue to do so, only continue because they are afraid to admit that they are wrong.
Bush is not a bad person, just a stupid person. He is easily lead astray by those around him. I don't think he lied to us about anything. He thought everything he was saying was true. He is easily manipulated by Rove, Cheney and Rumsfeld. They are the ones causing all the trouble.
It is obvious that Bush is a man of low intelligence. It is apparent in the way he can't make a coherent sentence if he is not reading it from a card. Also people of low intelligence resort to violence to solve their problems because they can't think their way out of a conflict.
We as a country are hated by the rest of the world.
This administration has one goal, and that is to make as much money for themselves before they leave as they possibly can. We are screwed.

I cry that so many people couldn't see the deceit most of us now see. I don't know why I've always discerned his real intentions... maybe because of the knowledge my Dad gave me about our government, The Korean War, Israel and Palestine's ancient and everlasting conflicts, The New World Order, so much more and many books I've read... but this man... I can go on all day about the shortcomings of our Commander in Chief. I respect him very much. But I do not trust, believe or like him even a little bit. Being a "good person" is not enough to have millions of people subjected to your actions and decisions.

While I'll give the President the benefit of the doubt concerning whether he's a good person (I don't know him personally, so I can't say), I don't think he, by any stretch of the imagination, has or had the ability to SHOCK this country into any kind of awareness. His leadership (or lack thereof) shows that he is TOTALLY unaware of how things operate. He lives in his own little bubble and that bubble continues to float farther into the ozone everyday. Sigh.......

The man owns tons of stock in the oil business so he is making money hand over fist. With the gas prices up he is sucking in profit. I think he is a phony and I also voted for him. I regret that now. He has destroyed this Country.

Your friends and family may have voted for Bush because his handlers and campaign manager used "scare and smear" tactics to assure his victory as President. I guess many people fell for it.
Knowing this, I am uncertain about the man on a personal level.
