Pretty much, hun. In the first three months (first trimester) of pregnancy, your body is working overtime to create a life. The second trimester is when you'll likely feel your best, and the third may be tiring again as the baby gets larger and you have more blood volume and fluid to finish the fetal growth. Right now, it's good to rest, eat what you're hungry for that is healthy, and I do hope you were taking folic acid BEFORE you got pregnant and continue to do so throughout the pregnancy (I believe 4mcgs is the minimum; I took 1 whole mg just to be safe). And be sure to see your Dr. regularly; at least once a month, or however often they tell you to. Be good to yourself. Your body is doing something amazing. Try reading up on some stuff at the suggested sites in my source list, and surf around for other sites.

It's normal because your hormones are adjusting. As you get closer to term, you will be tired from the shear weight of the baby. Try to get rest, eat right, and take prenatal vitamins. If the vitamins make you nauseaus, your doctor may place you on some with vit. B. or have you take Flinstones. Unfortunately, it's a usual part of pregnancy. Just wait until the baby arrives, then you'll really feel tired for a while (feeds every 2-3hr), but it's all worth it so don't be discouraged. I have 2 little girls (ages 5 and 1) and they tire me out all the time, but it's the best feeling knowing that I have them in my life to do so. Best of wishes my sister.

Yes, you're body is in overdrive right now. It will pass after the first 3 months, usually. When I was pregnant I could almost fall asleep at a red light on my way home from work. You obviously don't have other children to care for, so rest when you can. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and soon you can meet your little darling for the first time, the true love of your life. Being a mother changes everything!! Good luck, Sleepyhead!

sweetie...to tell you the truth. You will be tired up until the child moves out of the house. j/k Kids are a blast, but sometimes they can wear you out! Take this time to get as much rest as possible. Cause once the baby is born. You're not going to get much sleep at all.
