doing it this often during the day, so is there a reason I'm having to at night? (I dont drink anything at least an hour before I go to bed, but you would think I drank a liter of water!)

I had to pee constantly when I was in my first trimester and again during the last few weeks when I was pregnant. If your busy during the day you might not notice the urge to go as much and then it will become much more noticeable when you are at rest. It should ease up in another month or so. Try going more during the day, but I'm not sure that will even work. Your body is on a preset course and you are pretty much along for the ride for the next 9-10 months (yes, even after you deliver your baby your body will continue to do some strange things for awhile). Try reading "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" it will make you laugh and feel less weirded out about the bizarre things that you will soon be experiencing.

All of us, to some extent, experience this if for some reason we retain fluid during the day. When Pregnant you more than likely retain a lot of fluid even though you may not notice.

At night then when you are at rest your kidneys kick in to pull off the excess fluid. One way to check this is watch your ankles.
In the morning they should be nice and thin like they always have been but by night, before you go to bed, you may notice they are puffy or swollen a bit. If you see that it means your body has retained the water you drink during the day.

Once you have your baby you will go back to the way it always was. Should it not then you may want to check with your doctor.

This is very normal for most women that are pregnant I think so don't worry. While this is annoying if you get through your pregnancy with this being the worst it gets consider yourself well off. It is clear this is your first. Your body is a wonderful machine that must go through a lot of changes to support that baby while in you. Just see your doctor as you are suppose to and mention this the next time. I'm sure you are fine.

May you have a healthy baby and remember you are going through a very trying time for your body but one of the most rewarding.

That is totally normal. I feel as though I have to go every five minutes. There is not much you can do about it. Just get up and go. Now that I am further along 21 weeks I dont go as much at night anymore. Just 500 times a day.

Happy pregnacy. I hope all goes well. Having to pee all the time is a good sign that you are on track and doing great.

i went through that too. I dont really know why. But it did pass, i think its just because i drank so much durring the heat of the day that by night time it finally all came back out. But eventually by body got used to the whole thing and i could make it through the night just peeing once... although from time to time i still pee about ten times. like last night.

Its a pain, i hear it gets worse as the baby gets bigger. yay! pregnancy!

That's totally normal. It's actually the hormonal changes happening in your body that are causing you to pee alot and not pressure on your bladder, or the amount of water you drink. You baby isn't the size of a grain of rice at the moment. As your pregnancy develops the pressure on your bladder will increase and it just gets worse and worse, so you'll have to get used to it Im afraid.

I was the same way, although mine came a little later in the pregnancy! My mom always said that it's a good way to get used to having to get up more than once in the middle of the night when that baby comes! I always hated when she said that, but she was right.
Also, at night our bodies are more relaxed, so the pressure you're feeling becomes more pronounced. It's normal....

VERY NORMAL!!!! ....its just the beginning, so stay close to a bathroom, especially when you hit your 7 month. I got up at least 4 times during the night and ALOT throughout the day. Good luck with your pregnancy.

That's normal honey. That's one of the things I didn't like about being pregnant, that and being sick, so if all you gotta do is pee lots consider yourself lucky. :) It's not going to get any better and there isn't much you can do yet. The baby is to young to move around, he's moving but you can't move him is whatI mean. Congratulations and enjoy your baby

It's okay! I used to go to the bathroom that much, but now I am 16 weeks I can go the whole night through without getting up. I don't know what happened but whatever it was, save me energy and toilet paper.

Welcome to pregnancy. Your body starts doing things that won't always make sense to you. Just go with the flow and enjoy these 9 months in which your body is creating a new life. Congratulations and the best of luck to you!!
