I'm generally positive about the future and my own children's lives. However, when I get to looking around, I become terrified!
Pregnant girls as young as ten and eleven (the school for preg. teens in my city had to open up a fifth grade!)
General lack of education. Really, many children aren't aware of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, History, Science, Spelling, Math, etc. This could set us up for one day having a dictatorship! If you don't know what your rights are...how can you defend them?
Lack of parenting. Most parents are not involved in their children's lives. Without good parents, how can we expect our own children to know enough to become good parents?
Really, I just get scared. But then I become hopeful. I become hopeful that some parents, like myself, are doing a good job raising their children. That maybe some children will develop great leadership skills. That in time of trouble, my children along with other people's children, will be able to stand up for our country and defend it.
In general, I am hopeful for my children's future. I'm hopeful for our country's and our world's future.

Not I. I know that I am raising my children with morals and values and that will help them cope with what ever comes their way.

No time to get scared, prepare them for their future. Right now, its your obligation to see that they're armed with - - right up- bringing, values, education, and whatever. . . after that. . . they have to make it on their own.
