If all Yahoo! Answerers were trapped in a room, will the rude ones, polite ones, funny ones, stupid ones and the serious ones continue to be that way with each other?

That is an interesting premise. I think you have something here worthy of further investigation. I don't know if all personalities would surface in the initial moments but as time moves on there would be some groups forming perhaps along those lines. That would be a most excellent experiment to conduct. It would give a perspective that could be applied in different applications regarding human behavior. Do the rude folk seek like minded people, I'd say yes. Funny people seem to find each other, they like a laugh. The less gifted folk should stick together and the polite ones seem to look out for them. Those serious people get it done and generally don't seem inclined to share any interests with the other groups. By God I think you've crack the nut here.

I totally agree with JJ. I was going to same the same thing. It is much easier to say something to someone when you are not looking them in the face. My personality would not change, not because I don't care what people say, but because I am not, (for the most part,) rude.

Not likely. People tend to put up a front when they are with others. When you aren't going to see or hear from the person who's question you are answering, it is easier to give your honest opinion without fear of repercussions. That's just my opinion, I myself would be the same because I truly don't care what others think about me.

I do not think so.
We behave quite differently with people close to us.

That is the effect of personal vibes people send when they meet each other....
