how do you start acting..?

i really want to start acting...but I'm not really sure how to get started....Do you need an agent and if you don't have one where can you find out about auditions and casting calls?

Look in your local newspaper for auditions, it should list them. After you do a few plays, consider getting an agent. Big Fish is a good agency. You can also look online for auditions, but I think it is easier to find them in the paper.
