TV Tuner

A TV tuner card is a computer component that allows television signals to be received by a computer. Most TV tuners also function as video capture cards, allowing them to record television programs onto a hard drive.

there are 2 types
1. internal, located in pci slot mostly ,, u need 2 boot up pc
2. external, a self contained unit. U can watch telly on pc monitor without booting up computer !

Yes, its really easy to begin watching tv on your computer. If your just wanting to record, fast forward, rewind live tv then you need to install a tv tuner on your pc. This is really easy and i will guide you if needed, that should give you what you really want. But after that you should also consider upgrading your operating system (eg . windows 98, 2000, XP, vista) to windows XP media center.

Hope that helps

you need a tv card. these cards need to be installed by someone who knows what they are doing. you also need plenty of disk space if you want to record any. you also need a fairly decent computer to run one quickly enough so it doesnt pause every 3 seconds. usually cost around 100 dollars more for usb versions which i've never used

so you need either a tv cuner card or a usb tuner. either way make sure your computer can support it

You need a TV tuner card. You can get them in several varieties but the easiest post-consumer devices are USB TV tuners (visit http://www.ati.com for an example).
