I think there's a big difference between "freedom fighter" and terrorists. Freedom fighters are usually fighting people within their own country for power over a corrupt government resulting in another regime (good or bad).

Freedom fighters do not sneak into crowded malls or cafes and blow themselves and innocent victims up. That is a terrorist. They often teach their own children that life has no value so suicide bombing is an option. They're often systematically taught hatred of another race from birth. There goal is often the destruction of another race or religion.

That's the trick. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

Certainly, the use of terror tactics (random kidnappings and murder, car bombs, suicide bombers, the use of the bullet over the ballot), but also the refusal to negotiate.

The ruling party needs to get out of the way and turn the reins of power over to the group of person orchestrating the campaign without consulting the public.

You are, in effect, swapping one corrupt regime with another corrupt regime
