Yesterday me and my family noticed a big change in my belly, it is a lot lower. I also have been feeling more and more like I am going to pee my pants. My family has made the comment that they think I dropped. Does this sound right?

Also, a couple months ago I asked my doctor if we should expect this baby to drop also. He said with second and subsequent pregnancies the baby can drop and then go right back up. He said he had a patient come in one day and the baby was low enough for him to break her water so he told her to come in in the morning, when she did he said the baby was up high again.

I am also wondering once the baby does drop is there ever a more estimated time as to when to expect to go into labor. At my appointment Tuesday I was 2cm dilated and -1 station. My next appointment is Tuesday.

I was induced with my first two days before my due date so I have no idea what to expect. Me and my husband were discussing it last night and do not remember me dropping with my first.

you tend to 'drop' when the baby's head engages. this is however not any indication of how soon you will give birth. the head can dis-engage. i have had 8 babies and all pregnancys have been different. the baby will come when it's ready..

The reason you feel like you are going to pee your pants is because the baby's head is resting against your bladder. Your doctor is right subsequent pregnancies provide a much smoother path for your baby to travel as your first baby has already done the ground work!! Your baby can travel and down though, mine did and was told not to expect baby to arrive for at least 2 weeks and he arrived the next day... Best of luck!!

My son dropped into my birth-canal at 6 1/2 months, and stayed there until he was born. It just all depends on the person. Some babies don't drop at all. I think these people usually have to have a C-section. Two of my friends recently had babies. Neither baby dropped, and they both had to have a C-section. But good luck and congratulations! I pray that everything goes well.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and 3 weeks ago my baby dropped dramatically. It was SO uncomfotable I honestly felt it was going to fall out. I got worried because I know that the baby dropping can mean you're about to go into labour soon. But sure enough I woke up two days later and the baby had moved back up to where it felt comfortable again.

My second baby dropped and I had him about 4 days later. He was 3 weeks early tho. Every mother and baby is different honey he will come when he wants to come and not before. So just try and get a little rest before he gets here. I know that's hard when you can't get comfortable and have to pee every 20 minutes but try. :) Congratulations Sorry I see he's 3 weeks early too maybe???

It sounds right to me! I know my daughter dropped about a week before she was born. I"m currently pregnant with my second baby and I haven't experienced the baby dropping just yet. But, my friend who is in labor as we speak dropped about 2 weeks ago and she's been dialated 3cm since then.

Sure sounds like that baby has dropped ! Better pack your bags. You will have the baby anytime from NOW to about 2 weeks from now. I'd sure stay close to home !
