I think in part in did. I think many Americans finally realized that way to many men and women were being killed for no reason at all. America didn't belong there much like Iraq. Our young soldiers are being killed over what? Oil? Freedom (for who)? Some say that war helps our economy, like how? I pay $3.19 a gallon of gas, fair? No. Why did the gas go up? Why did Exxon make some $96 billion last year in profits? What did we gain in either of the wars? Don't get me wrong, America is a wonderful nation that provides ungodly amounts of reserve to the nations poor and ravished. Why don't we help those who fought for us and our freedoms, why were they brushed aside why they came back from Vietnam?

Why would you ask such a ignorant question? Why would a bunch of long haired chicken sh-t weed burners be able to stop a war. They may not have agreed with the war but protesting and calling a soldier a baby killer should have been grounds for deportation. The soldiers in Vietnam who gave their lives died for these long hairs to be able to go to town and protest.
