They did not separate over a pet, they separated over mad sexual practices. Your friend should try to have her problem treated and the husband should stay where he is (away). I am sorry to be so blunt, but, no, I do not think the woman was right at all.

I am inclilned to think that you were the woman, and not it is not right,

sick, disgusting, and i would not want to reconcile with my partner who had sex with an animal, i would want to put him in a mental ward for long serious therapy,, to make him sane so i could divorce him,,

Umm no offense but why would you want them to reconcile any way that is not a normal way to behave. People can be reported to the animal welfare for acts like that. That's disgusting

STRANGE, just be friends with both of them, dont try to get them back together, let them work it out thereselves,be a listener to both dont give your opinion, just be there for them, she probably was just curious,or probably not getting satisfied at home from him you can have all kinds of ideas, DONT they are really your friends be a friend not a mother or judgemental,

its not good to have sex with pet and you have nothing to do with them its their decision it sad but it happened not only to them
