Helen Keller - both blind and deaf, she opened the eyes of many people to the cause of blind rehabilitation, research and cures.

I think that she would be proud that we can now cure about a million people per year of cataract. She would be proud that we can replace the cornea. Research is now being done to graft new cells to repair the retina.

Bill Porter, he had serious health problems when he was born and worked for Watkins for many years and received achievement awards for his success. Check out the movie 'Door to Door'. Its his life story.
