Since you have Windows 2000, you dont have msconfig.

It shows screenshots of what to do so it should be pretty easy to follow. You can use this method if you dont want to download anything like the ones I sent you through email.

if you are referring to which programs automatically startup when you log on to your computer, you must know about the registry to set these manually.

Otherwise, get a program from the web that lets you set these, like the Startup Control Panel (see link below) The great thing about this program is that you can also set programs to begin on startup rather than only being able to disallow them like when you view the system properties.
