Going to the bathroom is a right. It is not a priviledge. If anyone told you that, just let them know that if you indeed urinate upon yourself in class that you will sue the school and the school board for mental anguish.
It's almost as if you are a POW or something.

Hello, how are you?
I think it should be a priviledge for students to go to the bathroom. because it is indeed normal for people to take care of their business, specially this is a sensitive matter, I'd say.

I don't know if it's a right or a priviledge, but I also know of no way to determine whether the need is genuine.

Anytime someone needs to go to the bathroom, yes they should go and no one should stop them. I had a teacher in high school that told me I could not go during an exam. I ended up having an operation and they had to fix a urine tube. Going to the bathroom is extremely important for the sake of your health.

yes if it is a genuine need, the problem is only the student knows if the need is genuine, so they should go before class that way they don't have any conflict as to whether it is a genuine need or not.

If it's a genuine need, then sure. But some people claim a genuine need when that's not the case. They abuse teacher's trust and ruin it for those who are truly genuine!

It should be a right, or will kids in the future have to take "refuse" packs with them to class.

if you gotta go, you gotta go. if a student is making up the need to go, i guess their academic career will suffer for it. if a student asks to go to the bathroom, they should be given permission, no questions asked.

Whose going to clean up the mess if they aren't allowed! Teachers sure don't get paid enough to do it, it's bad enough they have to raise other people's children that are to lazy to do it at home!

Should only go if it is absolutely urgent - otherwise one should show discipline in school
