Kitties love pooping in barkdust.. there are some products you can buy to spray on it to keep them out. you could try pepper because cats sniff where they go. Also you could lay down something like shingles for a while to deter them.. If you catch them in time you could spray them real quick with the hose. It wont hurt them but kinda shock them into thinking thats not a good place to go. Thats what the neighbor lady did to my kitty and he did stay out of her garden after that. And he was not hurt.

Try experimenting with a different type of litter than the one you are using currently. Also, clean their litter box daily. They can be very particular about the cleanliness of their box as to whether they will do the job in there or not.

How about feeding them on "rats" as often as they like ? lol !!
