I try to be thoughtful with each of my answers to SERIOUS questions.
Some of these questions BEG sarcasm...
Like the ones that start "I'm Bored" - My God, how non-creative do you have to be to not be able to even entertain YOURSELF or find something USEFUL or ENTERTAINING to do. Those stupid people don't deserve a creative person's response.
or
I like a boy, I don't know if he likes me... How can I tell?
Well FREAKING ASK... or pay attention!
Or the ones that say: My GOD is better then YOUR GOD, or NO GOD is better then YOUR GOD... or My orientation is BETTER then YOURS... and sometimes "you should change to my POV".
That shows this person doesn't GET each adults right to believe or live their life as they please ...
Look, I am pretty smart. That's not brag... I've been here for a long time... and I learn a lot every day. My IQ measures pretty HIGH but WHO CARES? It's just a number and after a while you learn to cheat the tests... My point is that the more you know, the wiser you become... the more you understand what LITTLE you really know! And each day you learn more, you're more aware of that - It's like the more you know the DUMBER you get!
So... in that regard... all intellectuals are PSEUDO intellectuals. Not the least of which is ME!
Thanks for a great question... that allowed me to explain how and why I answer the questions I choose to answer... the way I do.

First, we must define the prefix "pseudo". From the infallible Yahoo! dictionary we find:
pseudo- or pseud-
pref.
False; deceptive; sham: pseudoscience.
Apparently similar: pseudocoel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ETYMOLOGY:
Greek, from pseuds, false, from pseudein, to lie
By using that definition to answer your profound question, "Does anyone think anymore?", one would have to conclude that one need not be intellectual (or pseudo intellectual) to provide an answer or to think. It's merely your perception of the answer given that determines (in your mind, at least) if it's a "good" or intellectual answer.
Invariably, if you agree with an answer, the person providing the answer is an intellectual. If you disagree with the answer, the person providing the answer is a total dipstick. Where am I wrong with this analysis?

On yahoo, if we only got points for a best answer, you would see a lot more intelligent answers. Or at least answers form people who put in some thought.
"I don't like war is a statement, not an answer.
Finally, not everyone is on the supperior mental level or is as wise as we are. -"joke"

Yes, people think, but some of us use too many big collegiate words that do not really carry any substance. I have got to be more careful to stop doing that. I make people eyeballs hurt for the smallest question.
