i happened to find 2 laptops with almost the same config, besides some changes and having the same price. I want it mainly for gaming.

I saw a laptop with the following configuration.

Processor Type : Core™ Duo
Processor Number : T2400
Processor Speed : 1.83GHz
Memory Size :1024MB
Graphics Chipset : nvid GeForce 7900 Gtx
Graphics Memory : 512MB
Hard Drive Size : 80GB

the other laptop has the following configuration.

Processor Type : Core™ Duo
Processor Number : T2500
Processor Speed : 2.0GHz
Memory Size : 2048MB
Graphics Chipset :nvid GeForce Go 7900 GS
Graphics Memory : 256MB
Hard Drive Size : 200GB

Could you tell me which of these two would be better for gaming, and worth the price.

And if so, then how important is the processor speed, the graphics memory and the memory size of the laptop if i want a good gaming laptop?

Pls reply back asap as im in a hurry to buy one.

thanks

For gaming choose a better card,

Graphics Chipset : nvid GeForce 7900 Gtx
Graphics Memory : 512MB

Since it's duo core, open many application at once already fast and no affect or lag, therefore no need so big memory.

Here is a comparison of the video cards. Gaming uses more of the video card than any of the other things.

I like the configs of the 2nd overall. More memory is great, with a faster processor makes it outstanding. A 200 gb hard drive would make it hard to pass up but there is quite a difference in the speed of these two video cards. Computer 1 has a much better video card. Can you not get that card in C-2. If so, you would have the ultimate computer.
I would choose 1 for gaming and 2 for regular computer use.

I wouldn't go for the first one if I were you! You'll ony have 80 Gb (meaning soon you won't have enough space to install games on it) and only 1 Gb of RAM (the minimum requirement for Vista premium OS)...
I'm not sure now, have to run 3dmark but I think the second one will total a better score.... Could be wrong though...
But then again you can always add more memeory to it :).

I'd go with #2.The single problem being Graphic Memory.

The other one is superior in every other way.

Unless your games require 512MB... (which most don't)
Go for #2

I would go for the second one, for the memory, harddisk and processor speed.
