He is one of the all time great of cricket game. Also he is the only competitor for Shane Warne in the present day cricket.
He can spin the ball even on a glass surface. He is a match winner for the Srilankan team and also proved it by winning many matches for them single handedly.
Atlast I would like to conclude by seeing that he is one of the legends in the present day cricket.

To straighten your arm from a bent position is a massive advantage. If the umpire believes he has seen a throw then he should, as part of the laws of cricket, be allowed to no ball it or at least report it" (source: wisdencricinfo).
ICC in its latest findings has revealed how bowlers thought to be having a classical action such as Glenn McGrath and Shaun Pollock have at times extended their arms over the previous 12 degree limit. Also, Fred Trueman, Dennis Lillee, Curtly Ambrose, Imran Khan, Richard Hadlee, and Ian Botham alike are some of the past bowlers who have exceeded the previously set 12 degree limit.
To make matters worse almost 99% bowlers were guilty of this; thus the 15 degree limit was set for all bowlers. It is said; the 15 degree or more straightening of the arm can be detected by the human eye.
In Murali's case: biomechanics men - Dr Marc Portus, Professor Bruce Elliott and Dr Paul Hurrion - used cameras shooting at 250 frames per second (ten times the speed of a TV camera) to illustrate phenomena such as adduction and hyper-extension, which can give the impression to an observer watching with the naked eye that the bowler is chucking(source: wisdencricinfo).

To all above doubters, I would say the ICC decision to change the angle of flexion allowed in the bowling arm to 15 degrees is the level at which a "throw" is visible to the naked eye. It would be very interesting if ALL the bowlers were asked to go through the vigorous tests that Murali had to go through to prove his accusers wrong.
It is my opinion that there would not be very many bowlers left in the game today. It is remarkable that in the latest tests conducted on Murali because he was bowling faster after a shoulder operation (to counter suspicions created by the Australian media, of course), his off-break averaged 12.9 degrees and his much maligned doosra came in LOWER at 12.2. Those doubters who do not care to study all the biomechanic tests done to prove Murali's detractors wrong, can only remain victims of an optical illusion-FOREVER. So much for the angles.
