If the truth is that your about to get hit by someone/something, then yes.
If it is that you dress badly, then that's an opinion not necessarily the truth.
If it is about someone/something/you that you did not know/hear/believe then no, its stings for a while, if your an adult you deal with it, learn from it and grow stronger because of it.
Some people seriously can not handle the truth, so for them it does hurt.
So the question really is.....
