I work as a school nurse in a private boarding school and students are always coming to me wanting medicine for spots. If creams, good diet and plenty of fluids are not helping then your doctor can presribe long term antibiotics. Quite a few kids at our school are on them but caution must be taken as they can increase blood cholesterol and so monthly blood tests are needed. You can also see a skin specialist, but my first stop would be your own doctor.

What is your age?
Are the spots on your face suddenly appearing?
Do you have any digestive problems & alergy to certain types food stuff like fish, prawns etc.

Treatment:
You will not get any relief unless your stomach is completely washed with any purgative.

If you get NEEM OIL in any Indian Grocery in your area apply it as you apply any cream and keep a dot of the same under your tongue(after every 6 hours) It is very bitter taste and herbal too. You will see the fast result in 15 days. Avoid all the synthetic creams etc. They grind your soft skin!

I have been using products from a company called Arbonne. All of their products are herb and botanically based, contain no animal by products and are not tested on animals. They also seem to help alot of people who have had no luck with skin conditions that even a doctor can't cure.

My daughter's baby sitter had very dry cracked feet. Rather nasty really! Her doctor had been giving her some creme but it hadn't been making a difference. I gave her some RE9 body lotion and within a few days her feet were much softer and on the road to healing.

I also gave a colleague of my husband's some hand lotion. She had gotten a chemical burn two years ago on her hand. She used medicine from the doctor for a year without any improvement. Now you can't even tell she had any problems with her hand.

Go look at the following website and see what might help you.

Spots can prove to be a nasty problem if not treated correctly, but luckily, once you know that spots are merely skin infections, or a disease, so, as long experience taught me, you can prevent spots by good sleep, a well-balanced diet, and regular frequent baths, and if the problem persists, go to your doctor, who may prescribe antibiotics, which usually prove efficient in many cases.

If they are really affecting your quality of life then your G.P should have creams he can prescribe to help you, you might need something a bit stronger than over the counter the medicines can provide. Dont keep suffering make an appointment with the doctor. xx

look at your diet first; then your washing routine.

sometimes there is nothing you can do; some people are just plagued by spots.

NOTE:
It's worth looking to your washing power too. my friend was allergic to bio washing powder and came out in spots all around the neckline.

apparently there is something in the powder that is activated by the oils in your skin. so once it gets on you it irritates your like mad. if it gets on your hands, you can transfer to face too.

if nothing else works, they sell paper bags at the newsagent now (just kidding - good luck)

If the spots are bad the doctor can prescribe antibiotics. Try tea tree oil, it is very good.

if you are a teenager then there isn't a lot you can do - its your hormones as you go through puberty rather than cleanliness or diet
