Nvidia gforce7900gtx is the better graphics card of the two. As you yourself have mentioned the nvidia gforce7900gtx has 512mb of videomemory while the7900gs has only 256mb of videomemory. The latest games available require more than 256mb of video memory for high quality graphics. Also here the ram capacity doesnot matter much since you get 1GB of ram and as far as I know there is no game that would use even 1GB of system memory leve alone thinking of 2GB.So I would prefer to buy nvidia gforce 7900gtx with 1 gb of ram

I would have to go with the 7900 GS and 2gbs of RAM
the 7900GTX is one powerful mofo, but the 2gbs of RAM will out perform it
the 7900 GS is not that much different from the 7900GTX too
If you do care about power
get the 7900GTX with the 1gb of mem first
then just get 1 more gb of RAM later

The nVidia 7900GTX is a workhorse of a video card. It far outperforms the 7900GS.

BOTH ARE GOOD . ONLY DIFFERENCE IS MEMORY
IF YOU HAVE SYSTEM MEMORY HIGH , THEN IT WONT MAKE ANY
DIFFERENCE
