We are leaving the UK and will have most of our electrical goods up for sale. Because we are still using them (items like the washing machine, fridge etc.) we have to get rid of them at the last minute.
What's the best way of organising a garage sale and are there any legal ramifications - especially in regard to the electrical goods?
Many thanks in anticipation of any response.

If you have to throw any of those appliances away, check with your town's policies regarding waste, since they vary. But, I'd say, advertise your garage sale in local papers and with flyers beforehand, and hold it about a day or two before you leave. Offer reasonable prices, and try lowering the price if you've found a buyer who wants it, but at a slightly lower price. Be flexible about the money, because these are second-hand goods, remember.

Also try www.freecycle.org, because you can get rid of stuff for free by giving it to people who want it. Good luck!

A flea industry isn't comparable to a storage or backyard sale. people who've storage or backyard sales are taking away used stuff. At a flea industry you will come across used stuff, yet there are additionally distributors there who sell new products. We had one this previous weekend in my city and there have been new and used products. this is the version. desire it spoke back your question.
