I lost my cell phone. I have no min. on it. Does anyone have any idea what I should do and how can I find it?

its a cingular phone. I just got it for my bday. i was outside running and i know i had it in my pants pockets. after a few hours i noticed it wasnt there. I went back outside and look for it but i didnt find it. I tried to call it to see it i could hear it but it said that i could not reach my phone.

You don't need minutes on a mobile phone to call it.
receiving calls cost nothing for the mobile.

Call it and listen if you can hear it.
Or perhaps someone picks it up.

well dear, if you have a bill of your phone than you can ask the call center to trace the call if somebody is using it. The perfact locantion cannot be known but the area of the hand set can be traced. Then you can inform the police and even claim for the insurance. One more thing you can do is to inform call center to lock the phone so that nobody can use it.
this all measures can only be taken if your cell is with the bill. If it is without bill then sweetheart congrats for your brand new phone.

If you have a provider with it then you may want to call them and let them know and ask what they suggest (for example: disconnect the service).

To find it, you could try calling it and see who picks up. You could then explain the situation and hope that they are willing to meet you and give it back to you. Of course, it is possible that no one has found it in which case this method won't work, I'm afraid.
