I get them all the time. every sense Christmas they have been pouring into my email box. it drives me crazy sometimes. I always mark them as spam and delete them. It seems like yahoo would do something more to protect their costumers from getting them.

There are several ways of getting your email address.

1) Your address (along with hundreds of others) is included on one of those chain mail letters. There are people who harvest addresses from those and make money selling them on.

2) Your address is found on a friend's machine which has been infected with an email harvesting trojan.

3) There are programs which make up email addresses and send the mails out. Most of the mails will be bounced but some will be real addresses.
